I Received the Delonghi oil filled radiator in timley manor, it was reconditioned heater but looked like new and operated as good as new ,very happy with it.

I ordered 3 of these heaters, which pleasantly arrived earlier than anticipated. Yes, the units themselves do have some minor scratches and dents, but I anticipated this because they are refurbished. In my world, a couple of blemishes are well worth the cash that is still in my pocket. I have to say, I am impressed by these little heaters. I rent a farmhouse that was constructed in the early 1900’s, situated in the oh-so-cold mountains of PA. I have froze my rear-end off for the last 6 winters because even keeping the thermostat to the furnace at 65 degrees equals about $400 a month in propane, and running all the ceramic heaters to supplement really didn’t seem to help anyone other than the electric company. My research on the DeLonghi radiators convinced me to bite and give them a shot, so I bought one for my bedroom, office, and pet’s room. (big house, big rooms) I was concerned that these heaters may be a little small for the rooms I was wishing to heat, and I must say I’m impressed. With my furnace currently set at 60, the above mentioned rooms are at 73 degrees! My bedroom has never been this warm. Even over night, where the temp outside dropped into the low 40’s, the bedroom held at 73 and I have yet to plastic the windows!

I received my heater today, unwrapped it, and plugged it in. It was SHOCKING! Literally, the quick connects on the inside of the timer were placed incorrectly causing an immediate short directly to the entire metal body of the unit. With a screwdriver and a quick change around the wiring, it now works great.
Since I know a bit about wiring, it was no huge deal to fix it. For anyone not wishing to be electricuted (which is the least terrible thing that could happen with this type of retarded error. ), I would not recommend someone with limited or no knowledge of fixing things to purchase one.
Basically, “handypersons delight”, otherwise, DO NOT BOTHER.
I hope DeLonghi doesn’t kill someone or find themselves being sued for damages with the type of errors they seem to be making on their refurbs. Their regular products are great!

granted that this product was originally defective and now refurbished. . but one would expect a factory reconditioned product like this to put out more heat than a household electrical appliance . .
My laptop computer produces more heat while operating for heaven sakes and has a nice fan inside too.
Its hard to tell whether its working in the ‘min’ and ‘med’ settings and you start to feel it heating up a little bit only in the maximum setting. (’min’ + ‘med’). The heat it produces is absolutely inadequate even for a small 200sqft room.
I would return this piece of junk if i could but for its sheer weight and shipping charges.
Shame on Amazon and Delonghi for selling such defective products as “factory reconditioned”.
I would be extremely wary in the future about purchasing any refurbished products from amazon.

I bought two of these heaters in seperated orders. They didn’t work at all - One had no lights on, no heat and of course the timer didn’t work either. The another one had lights on but no heat after two hours. Of course the timer didn’t work again after I tried many times. I was ok with the dents and scrachs.
